Mother's Love
There are flowers in the garden
She planted there last spring
She worked for many hours
For the beauty they would bring.
She takes the time to do for us
The things that must be done
She never complains about it
Her life has little fun.
The way she loves her children
so unselfish every day
So few are blessed with love like this
But it's just a Mother's way.
Her love cannot be measured
Or confined by bricks or bars
It would burst through walls of steel, I feel
And go out beyond the stars.
Should a child ask of it's Mother
What can I do for you
She'd waste no time in saying
Just tell Mommy, "I LOVE YOU!"

A Cookie Or A Kiss
A house shouldhave a cookie jar,
For when it's half past three,
And children hurry home from school,
As hungry as can be.
There's nothing quite so splendid,
For filling children up,
As spicy, fluffy, ginger cakes,
And sweet milk from a cup.
A house should have a Mother,
Waiting with a hug,
No matter what a boy brings home,
A puppy or a bug...
For children only loiter
When the bell rings to dismiss,
If no one's home to greet them
With a cookie or a kiss.
